I am currently a partner with a NY-based law firm. Prior to this I was involved in Health Care Mgmt., Corporate Finance, and the practice of Law with the US Government. Education: A.A. (NCU), BA and MBA (Andrews Univ.) and JD (Howard Univ.).

Dr. June Ann Smith is a native of the beautiful island of Jamaica. She holds a Bachelors degree in Biology from Northern Caribbean University, a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instructional Supervision, and a PhD in Counseling and Human Services from Andrews University. In addition she holds a Master of Social Work degree from Yeshiva University. Currently, Dr. Smith is Chair of the Department of Counseling & Development, and a tenured faculty in the College of Education, Technology and Information at Long Island University on the CW Post and Brentwood Campuses. She teaches in the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in Leadership, and the graduate programs in the Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling programs.

In 2005 she received the David Newton Award for Teacher of Excellence from Long Island University. She is published in several peer reviewed Journals, co-authored two books with her husband, and wrote a chapter in the book, “Trauma Counseling” which is currently used as a Text book in the course.

Milton was born at Sherwood Content, Trelawny, Jamaica. Milton’s educational journey from Sherwood Content began with an invitation from WIC president M.J. Sorenson to consider attending the college upon completion of my Jamaica Local Exams. Entered as a work-study student working in the print shop. Worked my way through WIC as a printer.

Milton is an extensively published scholar, and business operator. With his wife Merrillie they consider NCU as the gateway to fulfilling careers. They are committed to helping to enable the university to provide opportunities others.

Dr Redley who describes himself as a friend of NCU, currently resides in the United States and is a practicing Pharmacist in Atlanta Georgia.

Dr. Redley started his professional career as an educator having taught in Jamaica at several institutions including, Kingsway High, Excelsior High, Excelsior Community College and University of Technology (UTECH), Kingston Jamaica. In the United States, Dr Redley continued his teaching career at the Cuyahoga Community College, Cleveland Ohio then at the Columbus State Community College in Columbus Ohio.

He spent 5 years in business as a Sales Executive at Life of Jamaica Insurance Company now Sagicor Life, Kingston Jamaica where he qualified for the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table club a number of times. Dr. Redley’s academic career started in Jamaica at Kingsway High where during these formative years his solid Christian foundation was built. From Kingsway he went to Excelsior Community then UWI where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree (Hons) in Zoology, Biochemistry and Chemistry. He continued his studies in the US where he earned his MS in Chemistry at the John Carroll University, followed by his Doctorate of Pharmacy and MPH degrees at the Ohio State University, Columbus Ohio.

Dr. Redley was baptized at the age of 14 at the North Street SDA church in Kingston, Jamaica. He served the church in several capacities including, Your Choir director, Adult Sabbath School Superintendent and Teacher, AYS leader. He was first appointed as Local elder at the North Street SDA church in 1990, and continued to serve as Elder in several congregations for over 33 years. He served as head elder for 4 years at the Fayette SDA Church, Fayetteville Georgia where he currently serves as elder and Family Life Director along with his wife Donna. Dr. Redley credits his success to the impact his teachers, graduates of NCU had on him in his formative years.

Dr Redley has been married to Donna Pitter-Redley for 33 years and together they have three beautiful children. Jo-Marie, Jovaugh and Jodon Paul. His motto is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength”.

I graduated from WIC/NCU in 1973 as a theology major. I worked as a pastor in Portland and Kingston and also as a principal at Portland and Kingsway High schools. My graduate studies was in counseling and in leadership and administration from Loma Linda University.

Since then, I have worked as a Principal at South Bay, Redlands, Andrews, and Loma Linda Academies. I have also served as VP for Advancement at Washington Adventist University. Currently I am serving as the pastor for administration at Community Praise Church in Alexandria, Virginia. I am the author of three books, proud and lucky husband of one wife (Nellie), two daughters and four granddaughters.

Bertram Melbourne is a 1968 graduate of West Indies College, now Northern Caribbean University. On graduation, he worked as educator, pastor, and a director for 19,000 young people in Western Jamaica before returning to his alma mater to serve as professor and administrator. Now, he is professor, Biblical Language and Literature at Howard University School of Divinity. An accomplished educator, he has taught at the high school, college, seminary, and university levels. He has served as Department and Division Chair at the college level and Associate Dean and Interim Dean at Howard University School of Divinity. Melbourne has authored several books, book chapters, encyclopedia entries, articles in journals, magazines, and newspapers. He is the first NCU grand and Caribbean person to write a Bible Study Guide (Quarterly) for the world SDA church. Melbourne served as pastor with Potomac Conference of SDA for more than fifteen years, thirteen and a half of which were spent at the Rockville SDA Church.

Melbourne has taught, lectured, and preached, nationally and internationally. He has visited six continents and over seventy countries. He is founder and CEO of Collaborate to Educate Our Sons (CEOS), a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization (collaboratetoeducate.org) designed to facilitate caring relationships, enthuse mentoring, provide scholarships, and support education for boys and young men.

Married to the late Cavel Melbourne, they have three adult children. Melbourne likes people, loves family, and adores God. He wants to live eternally with Jesus. His passion is helping people know Jesus better.
